Emily Katherine Parnell, a native of Foley, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 35.
Emily was a graduate of Foley High School. She served in the United States Army. She worked as a Processor at Ascend Performance Material. She loved to fish, kayak, go hiking, camping and playing pool, but she mostly loved spending time with friends and family.
Emily was preceded in death by her father, Ted Parnell. She is survived by her wife of 10 years, Jenny Huggins; her mother, Joni Tolbert; and her brother, Ryan Parnell.
A memorial visitation will be held to celebrate Emily’s life, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 2-4PM.

EMILY, I’ve known you since kindergarten and I am just now knowing that my mom was your preschool teacher. I wish we could have shared that together. My mom remembers your mom coming to pick you up everyday from daycare. You were a great friend. LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
