Ernest Edward Morrison, age 92, a native of Meridian, MS, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at a local healthcare facility.

Mr. Morrison was a Navy veteran of WWII and earned a degree in chemical engineering. He owned and operated a cotton seed oil and fertilizer plant in Meridian.

Survivors include his daughter, Rosalee (Tom) Hamilton of St. Michaels, MD; 2 sons, Charles (Ann) Morrison of Spanish Fort, AL and Michael Morrison of Mobile; a brother, Edgar Morrison of Meridian and 5 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held later in Meridian.
