Fred Shields Bedenbaugh, Jr., 86, of Daphne, AL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Freddie was in the arms of his wife and surrounded by his loving family.
Freddie was an avid hunter and golfer, and he kept us all entertained with his funny stories about life and love that will be remembered, cherished and shared for years to come.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; his daughter, Ginger (Terry); his grandchildren, Taylor (Courtney) and Hunter (Tyler); and his fur-babies, T-Mo and Charlie.
Freddie was blessed to have his two sisters, Peggy and Bobbie, greet him with open arms at his new heavenly home.
He was a blessing to us all and he will live in our hearts forever. Love you Freddie, Rest Well.
Service and Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 2:00pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 12200 Bailey Cove Road SE, in Huntsville, AL.

Freddie was a very loyal brother. Every Sunday, like clockwork, he would call his 2 older sisters to say Hello and check on them. They were all very close, even though they were all 7 years apart. Along with Granny and Grandaddy, we heard so many crazy stories of this close family. We can celebrate them all being together again, this time around God’s dining room table. Love to you ALL.
Freddie is loved and missed.
He will be remembered for his love of golf, the love of his wife, Pat, his family, and his amazing sense of humor.
I will miss him very much.
