September 4, 1916 – February 21, 2011 In Loving Memory.
George Earl LaRue, Sr., age 94, died Monday, February 21, 2011 with several loving family members by his side.
Mr. LaRue had lived in Daphne for the past 4 1/2 years following time in Louisville, Kentucky and Orlando, Florida. He was the owner of G. E. LaRue & Sons Wallcovering Company for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Laura Anderson LaRue and Hazel Marlman LaRue and by a grandson, J. C. Bahm.
Survivors include 6 children, George E. “Joe” LaRue, Jr. and Barbara Sue LaRue both of Louisville; Larry E. LaRue of Chipley, FL; Janie D. Bradley of Jacksonville, FL; Renee M. Von Roenn of Boulder, CO and Laurie L. Reddinger of Daphne, AL and step-children, Brian Marlman, Pam Radcliff, Kimberly Mink and Adam Marlman of Orlando, FL. He also has a sister, Ana Mae Powell of Louisville; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Eagles Nest International Church, 1219 Cooper Avenue, Louisville, KY with visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Burial and graveside prayers will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kosair Charities, 982 Eastern Pkwy., Louisville, 40217.
Wow I was looking for Jenny LaRue Just simply to see if I can find her and then I ran across where George passed away so many years ago. My condolences go to the entire family.
