I am so deeply sorry for the loss of Glenda, some things seem so unfair. I only hope that she is now pain free and completely happy. My thoughts are with all of Glenda’s family and friends. God Bless

A tribute to my little sister:: You were born when I was 2. As little tykes we built tiny villages in our backyard and played with our little toy cars. Soon we graduated to playing paper dolls for hours on end. Mama always made us matching Easter dresses in different colors. Daddy held our hands as we jumped the waves on Florida vacations. Then 5 years after your birth came our little brother, Tommy. One year later Sherry was born. They were our real live baby dolls! We had happy times exploring the woods, wading in the creek, riding our bikes, playing with our cousins and next door neighbors, walking home from school together, giggling and telling secrets. Then came our teenage years. Our parents surprised us with our precious baby sister, Tracy, when we were in high school! You met the love of your life and married at the young age of 17. Next I was standing at the altar with you by my side as maid of honor. Your son and my daughter, oldest of my three, were less than a year apart. Our children played together growing up. Through the years we have had many memorable times at the beach. All this seems like ancient history. We both became grandmothers. You have been a devoted mother, helping your son as he raises his own son. You have lived with our mom, chauffeuring her, being her companion, looking after her. We have had to say goodbye too soon to many of our beloved family members. Now it is time to say goodbye to the sister who shares all these precious memories with me. I am comforted knowing you have perfect peace and you have seen your Jesus face to face. I love you, Glenda. Until we meet again, your big sis, Jan

I moved to Pleasant Grove at the age of 12. Starting Jr High was scary especially in a new place and not having many friends. Glenda was one of the 1st new friends that I had. We went back and forth to each other’s home,,spend the nights,,talking on the phone,,all the things friends do together. We lost touch for way to long,,until Facebook came along and we shared once again our lives with each other. She was truly a precious friend and I would give anything if I had gone to visit. Glenda is missed,,but I know in my heart she suffers no more in her heavenly home. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God comfort all of you. Sue

I always enjoyed visiting Glenda in Foley, our trips to the beach, going out to dinner, excursions to places like Bellingrath Gardens and the Shrimp Festival. Glenda, you always had a great sense of humor and it was always fun cutting up with you. I am going to miss you and I so wish things had turned out differently for you. Love you, your brother-in-law Jim

Where should I begin ? I spent my whole life with you we grew up together even though you were older we spent a lot of time together I have so many memories of you when you lived here and after you moved to the coast . You use to aggravate me and Sherry as kids ( and we loved it ) you would tell us the biggest tales just to watch our reactions . I remember one night we were eating pickles in the kitchen and you came in and told us ” eating pickles at night would give us nightmares” then you snuck outside got a bucket of water and came up by the window and threw it on the window and stuck your face up to the window , we screamed and ran ! After you moved to the coast you always wanted to go eat somewhere and go to beach to look for sand dollars (my two favorite things ) the last few years we became close again messaging on Facebook keeping each other up to date on moms and family .i wish so bad I could have said goodbye in person but I know it’s ok that I didn’t . You went way to fast for me and I feel a big part of me missing now I just take comfort that you didn’t hurt for too long ! I will always be looking for you when I go to the beach and I know … YOU WILL BE THERE ! ❤️

We were always friends from early childhood ! I was so glad to be able to reconnect with you my friend. I wish you had told me you were sick. The last time I heard from you was in May and you said everyone was doing well! What I would have given to see you one more time. I have a feeling we will be seeing each other soon! I at least got to tell you what a special friend you were on face book! I know you are with family in heaven and you my dear would be the life of the party!

Today I have thought of Glenda several times and when I sat down to send her happy birthday wishes, I read that she has passed away. Glenda and I grew up together and enjoyed many adventures together. We lost touch after high school, and just last summer reconnected. I wanted to get together and reminise??about our youthful events. My heart aches for not making the trip to visit with Glenda, I will always regret it.
