Grover Melvin Blackwell, Jr., a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 80.

Grover was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Nelson Blackwell, and his parents, Grover Melvin Blackwell, Sr. and Rose Marie Blackwell.

Grover is survived by his children, Michelle Fowler (Kelly) of Indiana and Robert Blackwell of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Blackwell of Theodore, AL; and special friends, Richard & Linda Firth of Semmes, AL.
