In Loving Memory
January 25, 1950 – April 18, 2017
Henry Bryant “Hank” Hepstall, 67, of Atmore, AL, passed away at his home. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in Vietnam as an E5. Hank took pride in working hard. He loved the water and worked in marine transportation a total of 51 years which included 17 years with Kirby Corporation where he retired. Being a captain gave him a sense of accomplishment doing something he enjoyed. He was a strong man who could be extremely stubborn but was always a loving man with a big heart who would do anything to help anyone in need. He taught value, responsibility and hard work. His famous words were “be early or on time, but never be late”.
He is predeceased by his parents, Aaron Bryant Hepstall and Lucy Bell Drinkard Hepstall and his brothers, Cullen and Irby Hepstall.
Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Hemphill and beloved granddaughter, Alana Makenzie Hemphill of Semmes, AL; his brother, Bobby Ray Hepstall of Pine Hill, Alabama and sister, Ruby Hepstall of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Hank will be private.
