Helen M. Sheffield, 89, of Daphne, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Rosa Helen Doyle Middleton; husband, Thomas Leroy Sheffield and her son, Michael David Sheffield.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Sheffield (John) Davis of Huntsville and Rosa Lynn Sheffield (Philip) Saye of Daphne; son, Thomas Leroy (Karen) Sheffield; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. 

A mass of Christian burial will held at 11:00am, Monday, February 29, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am. Pallbearers are Scott Rice, Ricky Geiger, Keith Swanson, Philip Swanson, Steven Davis, Hayden Davis and Kevin Farnell.  Interment will be in Belforest Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to The St. Vincent DePaul Society, 711 College Ave., Daphne, AL 36526 or The Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Ave., Mobile, AL  36604.  Expressions of condolence may be offered at   Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home & Crematory, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL  36526.
