Henry Anthony “Tony” Reinhart, Sr., 76, a native and resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.
Tony attended Little Flower Catholic Church; McGill Institute for three years; St. Matthews Catholic School & Mae Eanes Jr. High School and graduated from Murphy High School in 1961. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Once a Marine, always a Marine! Semper Fi, Tony! (Always faithful) He then moved to Dallas Texas for several years, later returning to the Mobile area, the home of his roots, where he started his own business as owner of Alabama Glass & Mirror. He was a member of Merry Mates Mardi Gras Association and a member of the Little Flower Catholic Church Knights of Columbus (Council # 13367), and also an usher at Little Flower.
Tony was very detailed and meticulous in his work and in everything he put his hands to. He loved with all his heart, and what a big, caring, giving, forgiving heart it was! He loved God, he loved his church, and he loved his family – every single one! And we all knew it! He especially loved those grandchildren …They were second to none! He loved to gather with family and friends. He loved food, especially desert! He loved people, he loved being active, he loved to work his career, he loved working with plants. He loved Mardi Gras, he loved parties, he loved to dance. He loved life – and he lived it with all his might! His Spirit & Soul live on, and in our mind’s eye, if we look, we can see him. He is no longer confined to an infirmed, earthly body, but praising and worshiping our Heavenly Father – and yes, dancing on those beautiful, wonderful streets of gold!
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Henry Albert Reinhart; mother, Voncile Grissett Stratis; step-father, Leo “Abie” Stratis Jr.; brother, Harold Edward Reinhart, Sr.; and his step-brother, Ronald George Stratis.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julie Ann McRee Reinhart; children, Henry Anthony “Tony” Reinhart, Jr. of Richardson, TX, and Natalie Ann (Perry) Reinhart Purcell of Rowlett, TX; his grandchildren, Alyssa Marie Reinhart & Gabriel Brayden Reinhart of Cleveland, TN, Caleb Zachary Purcell of Superior, CO and Nathaniel Wyatt Purcell of Rowlett, TX; siblings, Georgia R.
