James “Jim” Alan Johns, age 62, of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jim was born on November 27, 1960, in Huntsville, Alabama to Harold and Imogene Johns. He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology and went on to get his masters at the United States Sports Academy in Exercise Physiology. Jim was a man of great morals. He loved God and his family the most. He was a dedicated husband, father, and friend. Jim found humor in any situation and radiated positivity. He loved weightlifting, anything outdoors and most importantly the Auburn Tigers.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Imogene Johns. He is survived by his loving wife, Karol, of 34 years; children, Garrison (Holly), Maylie Cieutat (Donal), Robin Reed (Caleb), Trent (Kelsey), Guy (Ansley) and Allison White (Tyler); and grandchildren, Nolan Reed and DAC Cieutat. He is also survived by his brothers, William (Lynn) and Michael (Audra) Johns; sister, Becky (Nick) Ibrahim; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, at 10AM, with a celebration of life service following at 11AM. A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:30PM at Jubilee Cemetery.
