James William “Bill” Enfinger was born August 24, 1935, in Columbus, GA. He was a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the age of 86.
Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from June 22, 1954 until June 21, 1956. After the service, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi and then went on to a successful sales career until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth Enfinger, grandson, Matthew May, and sister, Eleanor Hoffman.
He is survived by his children, Rose (Walter) Lathem of Daphne, AL, James Williams Enfinger, Jr., of Mobile, AL, Melinda (Scott) Woolsey, of Irvington, AL, Alisa Herrin, of Daphne, AL, Shannon (Dave) Conner, of Las Vegas, NV and Trent (Stephanie) Enfinger, of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Melissa White, Jennifer Thompson, Kara May, Matthew May, Cortney Morris, Shawn Enfinger, Paige Lathem, Mack Herrin, Brandon Conner and Alexandra Conner; great-grandchildren, Kagen May, Matisyn May, Kaylee White, Katherine White, Blackshur Morris and Preston Morris; siblings, Betty Lee, Carl Enfinger, Dianne Baker, Linda Iley, Judy Fleming and David Enfinger.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 12:00 – 200 PM at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL. On Monday, May 2, 2022, a graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.
