He lived life to the fullest, cherishing every moment; the big ones and the little ones. He never met a stranger; and everyone who came into contact with him was drawn to his undeniable charm. He loved his family, friends, fishing, singing, and his Alabama Crimson Tide football. He had an electric and captivating spirit that was sure to brighten anyone’s day. Laughter was never lacking when he was near; he was the life of every party. “Life” he was full of this word so often taken for granted; but he never missed a beat. He was passionate about the things he loved…big passion and even bigger compassion, a heart of gold. He was hardworking and had a drive to succeed at anything he put his mind to; and he did just that. He never sweated the small things and had a way of making the big things seem easier. I guess you could say he was a pillar of strength. One example that can be taken from knowing him is that no obstacle is too big with a positive attitude and a will to accomplish what you put your mind to. He was a leader and a mentor to many and without a doubt has imprinted his legacy in the lives and hearts of the ones who had the privilege to know him. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” And you daddy, will always live in our hearts, and the legacy you have left behind will never die. Until we see you again, we will love you with every breath we take.
Love,
Ashley, Chris, and Chad
“May the road rise to meet you, May the wind always be at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.” ~An Irish Blessing
Teri, Jim’s children, family and friends,
I had the pleasure of working with Jim for several years at Network Paging and even though our careers took a different path we kept in touch over the years. Jim was always a true professional and just a pleasure to work with. I am so sorry for your loss – Jim touched many of our lives. We are better people for having known him and he will be missed.
I live in Tallahassee and worked with Jim while he was here.
My heart is heavy. Jim was a real good friend to me and I will miss him dearly. I know one thing, he loved his children. We spent many a lunches talking about you all.
May the Peace of Christ be with you in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Jim was a wonderful person that I called friend.
Bubba was a good ole’ boy with a large personality. I mourn for the loss and cherish the memories. My condolences to all.
That is the one word I would use in describing Bubba – Life. He was so full of gusto, daring and energy. Always up for a good time, and crazy about his children. I didn’t know him well, but he will be remembered. He is at peace now, its the living who will have to pick up the pieces and soldier on. My prayers are for the remaining Lambeths and Lagmans. God be with you.
Jim will always live in my heart. He impressed me as a warm-hearted, easy-going man. Even though I came from other country, I can easily connect with him. Back in June during the fishing trip, we had a very good time, getting to know Terri, Chris and Chad. He warmly invited me to visit him whenever I can hit the road southward. My condolences to Terri, Chris and Chad and the family.
Susan & I would like to express our condolences to Jim’s Family. I spent many a night on stage with Jim as he performed with our Dawson Creek Band. When my father (a musician) passed away, Jim wrote in my father’s guestbook that Heaven had gained another musician for its great band. Now its seems Heaven has found a new Lead Singer. Tell my Dad I said hello at your next rehearsal. Jim will be missed by everyone he encountered in life.
With great sadness in our hearts, and many happy thoughts, the Pritchett Family will never forget Jim.
Over the past days, I have seen so many great things written about Jim. I know all of these things to be true. He worked for me and quickly became my friend. He brought out the southern boy in me and helped me figure out who I was. He opened his house to me several times, including a visit when my bride and I were traveling the south on our honeymoon. There are no words for the loss I feel. I think many others feel the same way. That’s just the kind of guy Jim was. Heaven is now a better place!
I met Jim and Jeff when they played in the band “Dawson creek band”. Two of the nicest people. My prayers to his family during this tragic time.
I couldn’t believe what I was reading that Bubba is gone from us…my cousin Peggy (McCord) Hamilton forwarded the news.
He and Jeff didn’t hesitate one second to be there when my mom Virginia was laid to rest and I will never, never forget that. I can probably count on one hand the times I was able to spend any time with him…from my leave while in Japan staying with the family there, the infrequent visits to Mobile to see my mom and his mom…
but, I kept up with him the last couple years through Facebook, was entertained with his posts and somehow felt closer to him for it… what a guy he was.
My condolences to Teri, his kids, Jeff, Carol and Betty… God Bless you.
We were saddened to learn about Jim’s sudden death. He was always a very warm genuinely nice person taken much to young. We met him while singing at Lake Forest Yacht Club some years back. No doubt he’s singing on high now. He will be missed. Our prayers and condolences to his family.
Sincerely,
Steven P. and Debra L. Lewis
Bubba was a GREAT guy whom I’m glad to call my friend. He will be missed by all who ever met him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families.
What a wonderful man, truly a gift from God. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Jim, knew how much he loved his family, and oh what a proud father he.is. While getting his hair cut Jim would most times hum a tune, and even made that sound good. He was always full of hugs, and never walked out the door without telling us all he loved us. I know God has a plan and I just know your the new lead singer at the Pearly Gates. Until we meet again all of us at Cuttin-Up will miss you. Sherri, Ronda, and Randy
I can’t make it due to the flu, but just know that all of you are in my prayers and I’ll be there in spirit.

My daddy was the most amazing wonderful man I have ever known. He is what I have measured every man I have ever met against…and trust me there isn’t anyone like my dad 🙂 He is the example that I teach my son to thrive to be like. The world will never be the same without him…and heaven will never be the same with him. I will miss him with every breath I take and ibut makes my heart happy to read all these kind words about my father. I know he truly impacted the lives of everyone who came to know him. On behalf of my family; thank you all for your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
