In Loving Memory

James Oscar Meads, III

February 21, 1975 - February 4, 2019

Tribute

Orange Beach, AL

The Meads family would like to announce the passing of James Oscar Meads, III, better known as Jamie.

James was a blessing to our family when he came to live with us at the age of 6 months.  While he was adopted on paper, he was ours from the day we held him in our arms.

He is survived by his parents, Sherley Meads, James Oscar Meads, Jr. (Brenda); a sister, Susan Meads-Leahy (Michael); niece, Jessica Kudulis (William) and great nephew, Clayton Alexander Kudulis.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Benny (Shellis) Burt and Mr. and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Meads.

Jamie was a good man who was honorably discharged from the United States Army having served our country in Iraq and South Korea as a Medic.   He was a dedicated worker and passionate about his family.

Jamie wished to be an organ donor and the Alabama Organ Donor Center told his family he will be helping over 150 people with his donation.

Jamie did not want to have a service and the family is honoring his wishes.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Disabled Veterans Association, Wounded Warrior Project or Cancer Research.

He will be missed by many but none more dearly as his family.
