Carl Gerald “Jerry” Enfinger, Sr. peacefully passed away at home at the age of 85, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Born in Columbus, GA on September 2, 1937, he was a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Grand Bay, AL.
Jerry served in the United States Army from September 13, 1955 until he was honorably discharged on September 12, 1961. After his military service, he embarked on a career in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer and a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Jerry was a Master Mason and a member of Azalea Lodge 898. He was also a Shriner and a member of the ABBA Temple where he was a Keystone Kop. He enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and spending as much time as possible outdoors. Jerry was a member of The Shepherd’s Chapel Church and found comfort in God’s word.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Tommye Enfinger, his parents, Carl and Elizabeth Enfinger, his brother, James “Bill” Enfinger and his sister, Eleanor Hoffman.
His is survived by his children, Angela (Alan) Longworth of Theodore, AL, and Carl Jr. (Tracey) Enfinger of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, Eric Loomis, Michael Loomis and Ava Enfinger; and siblings, Betty Lee Dianne Baker, Linda Iley, Judy Fleming and David Enfinger.

No idea he was a mason and his lodge was Azalea Lodge 898. That was my father’s lodge. I bet the knew each other when your dad was a lot younger than my dad. And loves golf. He’s at peace. God bless you Carl and his grandchildren and of course siblings. Love you
