Jerry Melvin Bonner

January 7, 1944 - April 6, 2021


Jerry Melvin Bonner, a native of Fayette, AL and a resident of Robertsdale, AL, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the age of 77.

Jerry served in the US Air Force from 1964 – 1968.  He loved sports, especially football and softball.  He loved to go hunting and spending time with his buddies at the hunting camp. He was also a true cowboy and loved the rodeo.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Clara Bonner, sister, Sylvia, and brother, Merril “Butch”.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashleigh Harris (Newt); siblings, Gayle, Charlotte, Larry, and David; and all his cowboy and hunting buddies.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, at 11:00 a.m.  There will be a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 State Hwy. 225, Spanish Fort, Alabama.

Expressions of condolence for the family may be made at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.
