In Loving Memory

Jessica J. Kelly

December 30, 1974 - May 11, 2024

Jessica Kelly, originally from Citronelle, Alabama, a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 49.

Jessica battled heart disease for 26 years with multiple open-heart surgeries, and with countless stents and heart catheterizations. She truly was the definition of a strong woman, a fighter, and a hard worker.

Jessica loved to be around water, whether it was fishing on a boat, and just lounging at the beach or at the pool.

She is survived by her three children, who she loved dearly, Alana, Tripp, and Landon; and by her mother, Rachel Cornelius. She is preceded in death by a sister, Leigh, and her father, Horace.

She will be missed so much by her family and friends. No services are planned at this time.

Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

I met Jessica when Alana was a baby, we met at Inchcape Shipping, she trained me. We became Instant friends! I transferred to NOLA and Jessica; Pat and Alana would visit us at least once a month. We had so much fun chatting, eating, cooking, laughing and going on adventures in NOLA. We also had a lot of memories when we lived in Alabama. Jessica was one of the strongest, smartest, most beautiful women I knew, and it was an honor to call her a dear friend. Jessica fought hard and played hard! She was so full of life even with all the heart problems. Her greatest joy in life was her children and she loved each of them before they were even born and loved unconditionally! Family was the most important thing to her! She always wanted to be a Mom from a young age. She told me her greatest fear was not seeing them grown or to see them become parents, she wanted so much to be a grandmother! I still can’t even fathom the fact she is gone at 49 years young. I will forever love and miss you Jessica! We could go awhile without talking or seeing each other and it was like we never skipped a beat! Jessica, you left some big footprints in so many hearts! the world is a sadder place without you in it! But man, Heaven sure got a beautiful Angel, and the children and Mom will forever be watched out from above. Do me a favor and go rock and be a fill in grandma to my precious grandson Blaze, give him lots of kisses and hugs and watch over him until I can be with him again. Fly high my beautiful Angel friend! Forever in our Hearts! Love you! Laurie
