John L Ross, 79, native of Evergreen, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, surrounded by his family.
John was born December 25, 1942, and raised near Evergreen, AL. He was a member of the National Guard Reserves. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and loved anything to do with classic cars. John loved spending time with family, and he never met a stranger He was just a happy person that people loved being around.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Ross, and Albert Ross; and siblings, Pete Ross, Sadie Mizel, and Ramona McDonald.
John is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Kathy K Ross, his son, Johnny (Courtney) Ross of Daphne, AL; one granddaughter, Sydney Jane Ross; and two grandsons, Griffin Connor Ross, and Barrett William Ross.
A celebration of life service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.

Mrs. Kathy, I pray for comfort and peace in the days ahead. Mr. John L was such a great man. We loved him from the first time we ever met him. He was a true friend we could pickup with a conversation immediately when we got together. So friendly and outgoing.
