John “Larry” Lassere

March 10, 1937 - May 27, 2020


John “Larry: Lassere, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the age of 83.

Larry served in the US Navy.  The GI Bill helped him earn three college degrees, including a master’s degree from the University of Virginia.  He also retired as a banker.  Larry loved his family, his church, the New Orleans Saints and LSU Football.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Lassere, father, John M. Lassere; and his sister, Joyce Lassere Sheehan.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Lassere; children, Debbie (Rick) Barnett, Jeannie (Rob) Arneson, John L. Lassere, II, Barry (Patsy) Reeves, Robert (Esther) Reeves,  Jr. (Shannon) Reeves and Dale (Vicki) Reeves (Deceased); thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends.

A graveside service for Larry as well as his interment will be at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
