My prayers and love are with the entire Harris family. I met Joe many years ago through my best friend and his sister, Debra. I was always struck by his large physical presence and gentle southern spirit. My world… this world, was much more beautiful for the grace of his life with all of us.

I only met Joe once many, many years ago, but I felt like I knew him through the wonderful big brother- little sister stories I heard from Debra over the past 40 years of friendship. Big brothers and little sisters have a special bond like no other. Humor, advice, and their protective nature. My heart goes out to you, Debra, and the whole Harris family.
Your family here in Columbia, SC, sends prayers of love, strength, and peace.
