In Loving Memory

Joshua A. Daidone

June 29, 2007 - January 11, 2020

Tribute

Joshua Alexander Daidone gained his angel wings on January 11, 2020 at the age of 12, following a two-year battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).

Joshua was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 29, 2007. Joshua is survived by his adoring parents, Paul and Melissa Daidone; his loving brother, Jacob Daidone; grandparent, Eva Lois Daidone; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joshua loved life, family, friends, fishing and video games.  Joshua was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around him.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Corpus Christi School and Sonny Callahan School for the Deaf and Blind who provided him with such loving care during this battle.   We would also like to thank the many friends and family members who have prayed for us and supported us during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at St. Dominics Catholic Church, 4156 Burma Road, Mobile, AL in the fellowship hall, located directly behind the church, on Saturday, January 18th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral mass will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominics Catholic Church.

Expressions of condolence for the family may be offered at www.hughesfh.com.  Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is handling funeral arrangements for the family.

Mere words can only offer temporary comfort in times of loss. Only the love of God through His Beloved Son, Jesus the Christ can fill the void left by the passing of our loved ones. May the eternal love that is Christ Jesus, comfort and console you and bring to your memory that earth has no sorrow that God cannot heal and no empty void that Christ cannot fill. May the peace and blessings of Almighty God comfort you and your family and heal your hearts until God allows you to see Joshua again. May God bless and keep you and your family Melissa. Amen.

    Cathy,

I’m so so sorry to hear this news about Joshua…though I didn’t know him I can tell by his smile he was an angel on earth. I can’t imagine the hurt your family must feel at this time but always know it’s God’s plan and he is definitely taking great care of this little angel now in his heavenly kingdom. I will keep you all in my prayers, and may God comfort your wonderful families during this very difficult time… Tim Meehan
