Joshua Linn Johnson, a resident of Summerdale, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Joshua had a special talent for wood crafts and was an artist. He enjoyed camping, swimming and being on the water. Joshua loved spending time with his dogs and his many friends. Joshua will always be known for his big heart and his love of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis V. Johnson; paternal grandmother, Elise Johnson; and maternal grandfather, Eldred H. Scoggins.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Rhonda K. Scoggins; sister, Jesi E. Johnson; his dogs, Suteki and Tsunami; his best friend/cousin, Gary Johnson; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins and friends.
A celebration of Joshua’s life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 5:00 PM at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to your favorite animal shelter or the ASPCA.

Josh you were more loved than you will ever know. You touched so many peoples lives. You were one of the most caring and loving people that we had the pleasure of being friends with. I’m happy we got to talk to you as much as we did this last year. You will forever be in our hearts. You may be gone but you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

It’s still difficult for me to put into words. I’ve loved you since your first breath. Always have and always will-no matter what. I take a little comfort in your knowing that my love was unconditional. I just can’t bear knowing that I can’t see you or feel your hugs. We WILL have a great reunion in heaven one day, and my heart finds joy looking toward that time of no more pain or sorrow.
