Joyce Lyles Goram, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. Joyce was born in Thomasville, Alabama, and moved to Spanish Fort at a young age, where she would spend the majority of her life building deep roots in her family and community. She was a woman of strength and determination, known for her unwavering love and dedication to those around her.

Alongside her devoted husband of 63 years, Robert Goram, Joyce co-owned and operated a successful business for over four decades. Together, they built not only a thriving livelihood, but a life centered on hard work, commitment, and family. Joyce found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her loved ones. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always making each person feel special and deeply loved. She had a gentle spirit and found peace in life’s simple pleasures, especially feeding and watching her birds. She also took great joy in celebrating others, never missing an opportunity to honor the people she loved. A devoted Christian, Joyce’s faith was the foundation of her life. She lived with grace, kindness, and quiet strength, serving as an example of love and perseverance to all who knew her. Her legacy of faith and family will continue to live on through generations.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Williams and Becky Ruland, and her beloved son-in-law, Kee Ruland. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Faust, Brent Williams (Monica), Tiffany Nelson (Jeff), Paige Hunter (Blake), and Lance Slater (Ann), Patrick Ruland (Amanda), Ryan Ruland (Elizabeth). Joyce also leaves behind cherished great-grandchildren: Kensie, Sloane, Landon, Millie, Crosby, Holden, Grady, Lyles, Rivers, Tate, Gunnar, Georgia, Mack, Virginia, and Caroline and her beloved fur baby, Summer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her sister, and her devoted husband, Robert Goram. Joyce will be remembered for her strength, her deep love for her family, and the quiet, steady way she made the world a better place for those around her. Though she will be missed, her love and legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 24, 2026, at 3Circle Church, 10080 Co. Road 64 in Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00am. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Megginson.
