In Loving Memory

Kenneth “Kenny” Davis, Jr.

June 11, 1981 - March 25, 2024

Kenneth Earl “Kenny” Davis, Jr., 42, of Robertsdale, Alabama, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Shannon; his mother, Loretta Norris; his sister, Melissa Wing; nephews, Kaden Fank and Waylin Wing; his beloved fur-babies, Azura, Boudreaux and Boogie; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Earl Davis, Sr; his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Fay Davis; and his maternal grandparents, Benjamin Payne and Theresa Keevan.

Kenny loved music of all kinds. He listened to every genre and style.  And the same with movies.  He was an X-box enthusiast and enjoyed playing often with his long-time friends.

Kenny drove big trucks for most of his life and was fortunate enough to be able to become an owner/operator.  He fondly named his truck “Black Betty”.  In 2021, his employer gave him an award in recognition of 300,000 miles of safe driving.   Kenny’s job required him to be gone for long periods of time, and he was always grateful to head home.  That’s where his heart was, with his wife, home, family and friends. He loved nothing more than spending the day cooking or grilling with friends, watching Auburn football, fishing or just sitting around the fire together.

Kenny, our lives are so much less without you.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Seminole First Baptist Church, 32619 Brown’s Landing Road, Seminole, AL, at 2PM.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation before the service at 1:30PM. After the service, there will be a time to celebrate Kenny’s life at a reception in the church fellowship hall.  All are welcome to attend. Burial will take place at Hinote Cemetery at a later date.

Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

Son part of my heart is gone with you. We will meet again one day, and I expect a big bear hug the moment I see you! Apparently, Jesus needed you more that we do. I love you soooo much! No matter how big you got you were my baby and will always be my baby. You are now in heaven with a lot of important people in my and your life. I know that they will take great care of you.
Love you and miss you to the moon and back! Mom

Kenny, I always looked forward when you would stop by my office for us to catch-up on fishing, sports, or whatever.
You are certainly missed already here in GA from your trucking family @ Pope. You were always a friend to everyone.
