Kimberly Ann Knowles Nielsen, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 60.
Kimberly attended Theodore High School and was part of the class of 1983. She always excelled in public service. Kimberly always had “peace and love” on her mind and in her heart.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents, John B. “Bernie” Knowles and Patricia Ann “Pat” Knowles, as well as many aunts, uncles, and her in-law, all dear to her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Randal Nielsen; her daughter, J Sheena Walker (Jim); her cherished grandchildren, Makayla Thompson (Joey), Aaron Barrow and Bryce Barrow; one great-granddaughter, Abigail J Thompson; siblings, Dwayne Knowles (Patrice), David Knowles, Patrick Knowles (Aseth) and Rebecca Knowles; along with her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and her dog friends, Floyd and Willie.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

I was stunned when I heard the news. Dad died three days after you. I can see you two in Heaven and him yelling KNOWLES when we sees you. May you rest in peace. Peace for Randy, Sheena and your friends and family.
