On May 11, 2023, Kimberly Dawn Roberts Sickafoose completed her mission on this Earth.
Kim spent her career obliterating boundaries. From starting her career in law enforcement as a Dispatcher at Orange Beach Police Department to her final post with Alabama Port Authority, she always fought for justice.
For women in law enforcement, there is the need to be more…stronger, tougher, smarter, everything just to be considered as equal. It has been said that Kim opened doors for women in law enforcement by being the first female Police Chief in Baldwin County. She didn’t just open the door, she kicked it in “SWAT Style”.
As much as Kim loved her law enforcement officer family, her primary focus has always been her family. She is survived by the love of her life and soulmate, Curtiss; her daughter, Alanna Blount, who has always been her reason for everything; and her sister, Libby Hall.
Kim was a self-appointed protector, advisor, and dictator of the family. While most people knew her as the professional the luckiest ones knew the eclectic, loving, artist that sprinkled glitter and a dash of sparkle on everything she touched.
A service to celebrate Kim’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Oak Hollow Farms, 14210 S. Greeno Road in Fairhope, AL, at 9AM. There will be a time of visitation before the service to begin at 8AM.
Expressions of condolence for the family may be made at www.hughesfh.com. Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.
So sorry! May the slots be with her family!
