It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Edward “Larry” Crawford of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Monday, August 11, 2025. Larry was born in Toledo, Ohio and lived in many different places before retiring to Gulf Shores.  Larry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force in POL and retired from Shell Oil Company. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Kristin Crawford-Bragg (James Mikel Bragg); granddaughter, Charlotte Anne Bragg; as well as his sister, Dianne Fortunato; and brothers, Todd Crawford and Randy Crawford.   We know for certain he was ushered into Heaven by many loved ones who went before him, including our triplets, Brian, Ashley and Thomas Crawford.

Larry passed peacefully at his home and spent his last days with his wife of 54 years, daughter and granddaughter.   We were lucky to spend precious holy time preparing him for his next season.  Although we are heartbroken at our earthly loss we believe in God’s promise of eternity

Larry’s absence will forever be missed.  He was truly the best Husband, Daddy and Papa anyone could ever ask for.  He will be remembered for his devoted love to his family, generosity, humble spirit, military service, patriotism and uncanny sense of humor.  As he would often remind us, “everything is good.”

A visitation will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, Alabama, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11AM. A celebration of life service with Military Honors will follow at 12PM.
