There was always a twinkle in her eye and a smile whenever she spoke of her family and caring for the children at Jubilee Baptist Church. Leigh’s sweet spirit will be missed. Our prayers are lifted and we offer our deepest sympathies to Robert, Elizabeth, Jonathan and their family during this difficult moment. Leigh is now at peace, free from suffering in the presence of God and Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

I was blessed to call Ms. Leigh a friend and coworker for over 5 years. She loved every child she worked with, and enjoyed every minute of the time she spenton the children’s hall at JBC. She was so proud of her own children and grandkids. She spoke of them all the time. She also cherished her husband. She often talked about how hard Mr. Robert worked and how well he loved and took care of her. Although at times, she stubbornly swore she didn’t need all that fussing over. She was so kind and I’m grateful that all 3 of my children had the opportunity to be loved on by her. I’m sure Heaven is rejoicing but there are many hearts aching here on Earth.

So many sweet things can be said about Mrs. Leigh, but I’ll start with my time with her in the childcare ministry at Jubilee. I met Mrs. Leigh when I also started serving in childcare 10 years ago. She LOVED what she did, She loved every child, and she was a faithful servant of the Lord. I wish I knew how many children were impacted by her kind words and smiling face every Sunday and Wednesday. She served until she physically couldn’t. I will miss her dearly, and I pray I continue serving and loving all God’s children for as long as she did. I’m thankful to have known her and for the time we spent together.
