Linda Sharp Kemper, her life is a beautiful memory. Her absence a silent grief.
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Denise Sharp Kemper on March 1, 2026, at the age of 73. Linda was a resident of Loxley, Alabama and formerly of Reidland, Kentucky.
Linda was a 1970 graduate of Reidland High School and attended West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Linda’s professional life was marked by over two decades of dedicated service at Lone Oak Animal Clinic.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling, having been as far south to the most southern point of the U.S. in Key West, and north past the Arctic Circle in Alaska. They explored a large portion of the U.S. with her favorites being Alaska and the Grand Canyon. They also traveled to Canada, the Bahamas and Mexico.
Linda also enjoyed making quilts for her family, baking and attending rock concerts, and especially enjoyed the music of ZZ Top, Rod Stewart, Kid Rock and Lynard Skynyrd, to name a few. But her greatest pride and joys were her family. They were the greatest loves of her life.
Linda is survived by her husband, Gordon Kemper; her daughter, Kim Fonville of Loxley, AL; her granddaughters, Skylar Kemper, of Loxley, AL, Lela (Pierce) Taylor of Fairhope, AL, Katelyn Elkins of Brookport, IL; grandson, Micah Elkins of Hickory, KY; and her great-grandchildren, Alys and Rhys Taylor, both of Fairhope, AL.
She is preceded in death by her son, Chris Elkins; parents, James D. and Evelyn Sharp; and sister, Loretta Goodall.
Linda was a of Baptist Faith and per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Linda asked that you please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

You and I share a beautiful grandson, Micah. He loves you endlessly and for that our entire family loved you. I will never forget comming to your house and picking up the little yorkie puppy you gave him.. you will definitely be missed by all.we know our God is great and he is taking care of you.
