Tribute

Lonnie M. Hacker, Sr., 75, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at a local hospital.

Lonnie served in the US Marine Corp and was a Mobile Fire Fighter.  In his spare time, he loved playing golf and watching Alabama Football.  He worked as a real estate broker for 51 years.  He was a Godly man who loved His Lord.  He also loved and adored his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Hacker and Inez McDuffie Hacker.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Nelson Hacker of Bay Minette; two children, Ashley Hacker Girby, Rev. Mel Hacker (Lisa), both of Bay Minette; four grandchildren, Caleb (Briana), Charity, Gracie and Emma; one great-grandchild, Oaklei; brother, Leslie Hacker; one sister, Annette Griffey; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at New Day Ministries, 1505 Hand Avenue, Bay Minette, AL.  Officiating will be his son, Rev. Mel Hacker.

A private family service will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Day Ministries, P. O Box 248, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
