In Loving Memory

Marion Naylor Davies, 91, passed away, Wednesday, March 05, 2014 in Fairhope, Alabama from natural causes. Mrs. Davies was born in Toronto, Canada, the youngest child of the late William Henry Naylor and the late Christena Bloomfield Naylor. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Davies Brooks of Birmingham, AL., and her two brothers, Ralph Naylor and Allan Naylor of Toronto, Canada.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty three years, David William Davies; their sons, Brian William Davies (Nancy) of Birmingham, AL., and Jeffrey David Davies (Evie) of Fairhope, AL; her five grandchildren, Christena Brooks Ray (Jim), Sarah Brooks Greer (Ben), Ellen Elizabeth Davies, Meredith Adele Davies, and Edmund James Davies and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Davies received her education in Toronto, Canada, graduating from the University of Toronto at the top of her class in physiotherapy. Before marriage, she was employed by the Toronto Children’s Hospital and then served two years as a Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Army as a physiotherapist. She was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls, stamps, coins and found great pleasure in gardening. The deep devotion of her life was her family. They spent many happy years traveling, and at their home in Birmingham, where she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brennity Memory Care in Daphne, AL and Covenant Hospice for their compassionate and loyal care. Those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Covenant Hospice or a charity of their choice. A private family service will be held at a later date.
