Mark Henry Vance, resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 68.

Mark was born on November 12, 1957, in Norfolk, Virginia.  He was a graduate of Fairhope High School, class of 1976.  He attended the University of Alabama and the University of South Alabama.  He was a member and past president of Pensacola Canoe and Kayak Club. He was a master electrician and worked at Kitchens Electric.  He also worked at Cottage Hill Nursery and Mobile Bay Orchids.  Mark enjoyed biking and hiking and was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide Fan… Roll Tide!

Mark is preceded in death by his father, James Clifton Vance.  He is survived by his mother, Nancy Woodward Vance; sister, Marilyn Vance Baggett (Jim); niece, Elizabeth Baggett Trawick (Kipp); nephew, Jeffrey Alan Baggett (Kayla); and great-nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, at 3PM.  There will be a time of visitation with family and friends following the service.
