Mary Elizabeth “Sissy” Geist, a native of Mobile and a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 82.
Sissy graduated from Bishop Toolen High School for Girls. She was a member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Eastern Shore Garden Club and the Pierrettes and Apollo Mystic Ladies. She enjoyed playing bridge and loved watching local and Nascar racing.
Sissy is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bob Geist and her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Revel.
She is survived by her children, Robby (Kim) Geist of Rockwell, NC and Susan Geist of Daphne, AL; her grandson, Nathan (McKenzie) Etris of Arvada, CO; and her soon-to-be great-grandson; along with other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 26, 2026, at Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, at 11AM. There will be a reception to will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church.
Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.
