Mary Teresa “Terri” Curran, 45, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Terri was born in Nashville, TN and raised in Daphne, AL. She and her son, Sam resided in Robertsdale where they were an integral part of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and school. She attended Christ the King School and graduated from Bayside Academy and later attended Birmingham Southern College and the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
Terri worked as a home health provider where she thoroughly enjoyed helping others and bringing a smile to their faces during her visits. Prior to that, Terri worked in the food service industry where she made many lifelong friends through her co-workers and customers. Terri was passionate about cooking, especially baking. She would always welcome an opportunity to bake something for friends, family and co-workers, ranging from formal events to a child’s birthday party.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Theresa G. Lynch and her father, William Buck Curran.
Terri is survived by her truly beloved son, Samuel Mason Curran; her mother, Mary Martha Lynch Hohl; her step father, Robert W. Hohl; her brother, W. Mason (Leslie) Curran and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 23035 AL-59, Robertsdale, AL 36567, a celebration of her life will be held following the service at The Plow, 96 Plantation Point, Fairhope, AL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s School, P.O Box 609 Robertsdale, AL 36567, to any PNC Bank Branch where an account has been set up in Terri’s honor by her friends to help benefit her son, Sam. If you prefer, a donation to any charity of your choice. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL.

Nothing can take away the sorrow I feel about Terr’s death. God has one more beautiful,gentle heart inHis presence. I will miss life with Terri, but I trust God who always knows best.

our hearts are hurting. Terri was that adorable red haired child at Christ The King school who in later years was a wonderful “house and pet sitter”. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers.

My heart is heavy with the news of TC’s passing. She was one of my best friends for many years. On those days when I really wasn’t in the mood to work, she made it fun. The family is in my thoughts and prayers now & always.
I meet Ms.Terri last year…my family was just moving in the apt complex and me having 5 kids needed a washer really bad and she provided my family with one that she no longer needed and we were and always will be so grateful of her…she was such a sweet soul that always kept a beautiful smile on her face…I’m going to miss seeing that beautiful small around Briarwood and The Landing…Heaven has truly gained an angel back home…my prayers are with the family and little sweet Sam Ms Terri will always be his guardian Angel..R.I.H

Terri was always one of my favorite “babies”…the ones I took under my wing. Often we were asked if we were mother and daughter and we would laugh together. A compliment to both of us. I was so very privileged to know and love her! I thank God for that. Martha, you are in my prayers as is Mason, Sam and the rest of ya’ll’s family. God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss! I affectionately remember Terri from our Bayside days. She was a few years older than me, but was always so kind! We reconnected over the past year through Lynn Butts with our Jamberry businesses and she was such a pleasure to work with! Her love of family and her son was evident in everything she did! She will be missed!
