Michael F. Strawbridge

July 21, 1953 - May 21, 2021


Michael Finley Strawbridge, a native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on May 21, 2021, at the age of 67.

Mike served in the U.S. Airforce from 1972 – 1975. He was a member of City Hope Church, he was an avid Alabama fan and loved studying history.

Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Fredrica Strawbridge, mother, Janie Hill and his sister, Beverly McKay.

He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Hamilton (Ryan) and Aimee Cornelius (Anthony); sisters, Lisa Stone Galloway (Al), Linda Yerby (Philip) and Anita Hayne (Mark); grandchildren, Michael Swain, Joshua Cornelius, Jacob Hamilton and Isabelle Cornelius; great-grandson, Wesley Swain; and Fiancé, Megan Montague.

No services have been planned at this time. Expressions for the family may be made at

    He and I worked together at EDS/BellSoith. I enjoyed conversations with Mike especially about Alabama history. What was amazing he knew where every cemetery was in Alabama.

    Sad to hear that. I worked with mike for several years. Lots of great memories at the data center. We also got our cocker spaniel from his mother dog. He was a great guy and could tell you a lot about Alabama history.

    KIm and Aimee, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Mike was one in a million! I will never forget his willingness to work hard at Adamsville School to give his girls and others a chance to receive a great education. Of course, Mike loved to torture me over Alabama and Auburn football! I will have you all in my daily prayers. May God grant you the peace that only He can give.
