Minnie Mae Hanson, a native of Spanish Fort and resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 87.
Minnie was a past member of Daphne Baptist Church. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Fleet Office Tugboat Company.
Her greatest joy in life was raising and taking care of her babies and grandbabies.
Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Clark and Minnie Clark; and her husband of 67 years, Wilmer Grey Hanson.
She is survived by her children, PJ Hanson (Marilyn), Cathy Dunn, Cynthia Riley, Linda Houghtaling (Scott), Anthony Hanson (Rhonda), Helen Hanson, Charity Stock (Tommy), and Susan Evans (James); 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; her six siblings; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Daphne Baptist Church Cemetery, 1515 6th Street, Daphne, AL, at 12PM.
Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

For thirty years, we were lucky to have Mazie as our neighbor. She was a quiet, steady presence—someone we could always count on for a kind word over the back fence or a friendly wave when we were outside. Those simple moments added up over the years, and they’re what we’ll remember most.
We admired the love and care she received from Allen and her daughter these last years. It was clear how much she meant to them, and how deeply they were devoted to her well-being.
We will miss her gentle spirit and the comfort of knowing she was just on the other side of the fence. Our thoughts are with her family, and we’re grateful for the many years we shared as neighbors. Rest in gentle peace……
