In Loving Memory

Myla Rose Taylor

September 3, 2023 - December 15, 2023

Myla Rose Taylor was 3 months old when she gained her wings and became our little angel on December 15, 2023, at 11:01 PM.

When she walked into the gates of Heaven, she was greeted by her maternal great grandfather, Walter Herbert Northcutt, and her paternal great grandparents, Rosa Pearl & Ruben Sims.

Myla Rose is survived by her mommy, Madaly Northcutt, her daddy, Shermar Taylor, and her fur brother, Kovu. She was and still is many things to them such as their miracle baby, her mommy’s “pretty girl”, and her daddy’s “baby girl”. Myla was loved by many, such as her KiKi and PopPop, Kimberly and Billy Shipp; and her many aunts and uncles, Lola, Paityn, Camden, Kenny (Courtney), Satasha, Kristy, Ashanti, Deandre, Larry, Shakayla, and Shaneka. Myla Rose was also loved and had a special place in the hearts of her great-grandmother, Tammy Northcutt; her great aunt, Keri (Caleb), and her great-great aunts, Betty (Bruce) and Jeanie (Charlie); as well as all of her many cousins and other family members.

Myla Rose’s family describes her as a miracle and a fighter. Even though Myla was only given 48 hours to live due to her rare diagnosis of Monosomy 21, she continued to beat all odds against her and gave her mommy and daddy the best 3 months. She showed them what it was like to be parents and they will continue to cherish that love she showed them and the memories that they made together forever. Our sweet Myla Rose will forever be in our hearts and in the hearts of those who followed along with her journey. In the words of her parents, “This is not a goodbye, just a simple see you later baby girl, love mommy and daddy.”

Expressions of condolences for the family may be made at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

Myla Rose stole my heart the first moment I saw her. She was a blessing to us all and I will always cherish the memories of holding her. She was a little doll baby.
