Aunt Nellie you are forever loved by all of the family. You are at rest with Uncle Ulay now. You will always be my Uncle Nellie.. That was our Lay family nickname I have called you for almost 50 years. I don’t remember before that and as a child you always gave us those lifesavers book of candies… I miss you. Oh Aunt Nellie. I love and miss you so very much. I always loved dancing with y’all at Biscuit King before I moved to Houston and I wish I had gotten the chance to see you again while you were still here. I know I will see you again one day though. Hug my Mama’s (Sammi) and Poppie’s neck for me. You will always be in my heart. Love your niece, Mandy “MandyMoo” as Aunt Tammy T. Called me.

Mawmaw words can’t describe how much you were loved! You were one of the strongest women I knew growing up. You showed us compassion and forgiveness. You told the best stories and most of all showed us unconditional LOVE. We are all hurting, and will forever, but we also know you are so happy to be back with PawPaw and all your sweet babies. We all know how much you loved and missed them and I’m so sorry you had to hurt so much in life, watching them all leave. I know your reunion in heaven was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I know they were so happy to hug their momma!! We will love and miss you now and forever Mawmaw !!

    My sweet Aunt Nellie,
You never left a doubt of how much you loved each of us. Thank you for being such a great aunt to my Dad, TR. He adored you. We all have adored you.
I am thankful for all the letters we shared through the years. I love how you called everyone darlin’ and meant it. You bore your heartaches and suffering with grace, never complained. You were a true example of what a Christian should be. Thank you for loving us all so good and showing us how to Jesus amd others. I will meet you in the morning….
