Norma Jean Wildenhaus

March 25, 1940 - June 13, 2020


Norma Jean Wildenhaus, 80, of Daphne, AL, passed away June 13, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Thomas and Thelma (Gillis) Poulter on March 25, 1940 in Salvisa, KY.

She worked at Globe Motors in Dayton, OH for over 25 years, where she made many lifelong friendships. She was married to the late James C. Wildenhaus in Dayton, OH before locating to Daphne, AL.

She is survived by her husband, William David Binder; brother, Thomas Poulter, Jr.; sister, Martha (Kenneth) Moser; daughter, Tina (Richard) Kronenberger; granddaughters, Brittany (Adam) Pfaff, Courtney Kronenberger; twin great-grandchildren, Grayson and Avery Pfaff; several cousins, nieces and nephews, William Binder’s daughter, Bonnie Binder Hollywood and family.

Jean was a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and Lake Forest Women’s Club, Senior Couple’s Golf Club, and Garden Club. She was also a Charter Member of Jubilee Jewels Red Hatters and Jubilee Dicey Bells Red Hatters. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and family, playing golf and bunko.

Jean lived each day to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to smile. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was a shining light to all that knew her and will be greatly missed.

Saturday, June 20, 2020, the family will receive friends for a time of visitation at 1:00 p.m. and following will be a celebration of Jean’s life at 2:00 p.m., at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL.

    Sorry to hear about your mom, she was a beautiful person, she was a good aunt that was always smiling and a joy to be around. I remember the time we and family camping at white water state park, Indy. She was the highlight of the Reed family. God be with you and your family.
