Oran Neil Calton, age 59, beloved husband, father and brother, passed from this life on March 14, 2014. A native of Pierce City, Missouri, he was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Lee Calton and Vera Lea Hawkins Calton, his brother, James Bentley Calton , all of Missouri, and his wife of twenty years, Linda Hicks Calton , of Mobile, Alabama.     Neil was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a man of great integrity and intelligence. He loved playing poker and old school video games and never met a stranger. His humor, wit and heart will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife of ten years, Jane Bruce Isaacks Calton, two sisters, Teresa Lee Calton of La Place , Louisiana and Romona Lynn Malcom( John) of Diamond, Missouri, and three wonderful children, Aren Neil Calton of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Thomas Andrew Calton and Julea Rose Bruce, both of Daphne, Alabama.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 22, 2014, 4:00-7:00pm at Hughes Funeral Home, 7951 American Way, Daphne, Alabama.

    Jane..We just got news of Neil’s passing. I am stunned. Rick.and I have fond memories of poker nights.
    Neil was a special guy. He was always kind to me and the nazi yard man. I don’t remember Neil speaking poorly of anyone. He kept his thoughts to himself or shared them with you alone. A rare quality in these times
    Too many fine people are gone. Neil.was one if them. Our thoughts with you and Julea.
