Tribute

Patrick James DeBoi, a native of California and a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 33.

Patrick was a local nurse practitioner who took great pride in his career. He was best known for his adventurous soul and contagious smile that could liven up any gathering. Patrick loved spending time with his family and was the proud father of two young boys, Jayden and Mason DeBoi, and newlywed husband to his loving wife Jenna Renee Swift DeBoi, all of whom he loyally doted on. He enjoyed movies, games, and any activity near the water; his passion for water was amplified in his love of scuba diving and his status as a nationally ranked platform/springboard diver. He will forever be remembered as a caring and selfless man that never failed to make those around him smile.

Patrick was a member of the Order of Glaucus in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where he reigned as King Glaucus I, alongside his wife, Jenna Renee Swift DeBoi, as Queen Gaia I.  Patrick was loved by the Order of Glaucus members, and his memory will forever reign on as the First King Glaucus.

Patrick is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ardella Coult and his grandfather, Charles Bylsma.

He is survived by his wife, Jenna Renee Swift DeBoi; children, Jayden and Mason DeBoi; mother, Kristi (Tom) Johnson, father, Addison (Tatiana) DeBoi; grandfather, Roger Coult; siblings, Kailey (Thomas) Roesch of California, Brian (Cate) DeBoi of Alabama, Stephen (Barbara) DeBoi of California, Igor DeBoi, and Shawn DeBoi. He will further be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, along with his two huskies, Leia and Padme, and two cats, Cali J and Gaston.

Our family sends our sympathies and prayers to Patrick’s beautiful bride, Jenna, and his sweet boys. Patrick was so kind hearted and friendly. We were happy for Jenna when we met him at our family reunion because we could see the love that each of them had for each other. He was easy to talk to and had encouraging words to say. It is hard to understand and words are not enough but we pray that Jenna and his sons will be strengthened in the coming days.
