Tribute

Patrick Robert Dominick, Jr., beloved husband, son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, and friend, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the age of 41 at Thomas Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  Patrick was born on September 1, 1981, in Mobile, Alabama and resided the majority of his life in Daphne, Alabama. He graduated from Daphne High School in 1999 and attended the University of Alabama.

Patrick learned to become a chef with a passion for creating his own recipes and sharing his love for food with those around him.  For a brief time, he was able to fulfill his dream and was the owner and chef of Church Street Café & Bistro in Fairhope, Alabama. He joined the family of insurance adjusters at CNC Catastrophe of Mobile in 2005 and held the title of Auto Claims Manager up until the day he passed.

He loved his family and friends deeply with a genuine heart full of emotion.   He was a lifelong Alabama fan who loved the Crimson Tide.  He had a tenderness and soft heart for his pups and adopted many during this brief lifetime.  His boisterous laugh and bear hugs left a lasting impression on those who came across his path.

Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy & Jo Paulk, John and Marian Dominick, and his uncle, Nat Dominick.  He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Sholes Dominick; three children, Kaitlynn, Kelsey and Sam and stepson, Zachary Sholes; parents, Patrick R. Dominick, Sr. and Marilyn Ann Dominick, of Daphne, AL.  He also is survived by his sister, Jennifer Dominick Chandler (Kevin); and brother, John Matthew Dominick (Laney); seven nieces and nephews, Blake, Sawyer, Julia, Avery, Landon, Maddison, and Charleston; and his beloved pet, Hazel Grace. He is loved and will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 711 Main Street in Daphne, AL, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11AM. There will be a time of visitation before the service beginning at 10AM. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon after the service at 12 noon in the Parrish Hall.  A private interment service will be held in the near future at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.

My sincere sympathies to Pat & Ann and the entire Dominick family. You all again have each begun another unsolicited journey of grief. Though we walk these journeys with others grieving the same loss of their own we travel our own on our own. I will hold you all tenderly in prayers. That our God will undergird you with his presence and strengthen you in your weakest moments. Do not get lost in the darkest part of your grief. On the other side of it is the light brought by the life and love of having had Pat Jr We are only in this life briefly, a vapor compared to eternity. Give thanks for the 41 years and cry out in grief that it was too short.

    Much Love and Prayer
