Paula Catherine Baker, a native of Satsuma, Alabama and a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the age of 76.
Paula was born in Phenix City, Alabama on September 28, 1948. She attended Satsuma High School. She had a successful and fulfilling career as a real estate agent at Brett/Robinson Realty, from which she retired. Paula had a passion for decorating, shopping, and most importantly, spending quality time with her beloved grandson, Peyton. She was known for her beauty, kindness, and generosity. She cherished moments with her family and friends and found joy in growing beautiful flowers and plants.
Paula is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, who was also her high school sweetheart, Murdock Baker; brother, Jimmy Stamey; mother, Dorothy Vestal; and father, James Stamey.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Mohler and husband, Kendall, of Spanish Fort, Alabama; one grandson, Peyton Mohler and wife, Megan, of Homewood, Alabama; two siblings, Donnie Stamey (Faye) of Saraland, AL and Diana Kristynik (John) of Lufkin, TX; brother-in-law, Tom Baker (Giovanna); four nieces and one nephew.
No services are planned at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at her home in Gulf Shores in November.

There’s never been a kinder, sweeter, gentler, more loving person than Paula Stamey Baker. She was as beautiful inside as outside. We’re heartbroken that she’s left us, but rejoice in knowing she has been reunited with Murdock, her parents and her brother, Jimmy. Godspeed, Paula…..please save us a place nearby.
To know Paula is to love her. One of the prettiest and loving ladies that I now. Always, always looked beautiful. Always had a smile on her face. And always a giving women. You will never be forgotten my Mom and I.
