“Pee Wee” Maples, Jr., 68, of Grand Bay, AL, passed away, Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Pee Wee loved woodworking and worked as a carpenter in construction for many years. He loved being outdoors in his boat and fishing was his favorite thing to do. More than anything he is remembered for being a loving father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his parents, Woodrow and Gladys, his son, Michael Andrew and his brother, Michael Wayne.
Surviving are his daughters, Kathy (Tommy) Sharit, Birmingham, Tammy (Robert) Willard, Theodore, Celena (Michael) Caldwell, Robertsdale; brothers, Jerry (Sue) Maples and Gary Maples, both of Grand Bay; sisters, Ramona (Freddie) Brunell, Grand Bay and Marilyn (Michael) Moody; grandchildren, Keri, Amber(Chase), Daniel, Boo, Kendra and Madi; great grandchildren, Brayden, Devon and Brylei.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Theodore Church of God, 6360 Theodore-Dawes Rd. The family will receive friends at 10:00am until time of service. Daddy, I love you more than you’ll ever know and miss you terribly. I try to remind self you didn’t want tears but the only comfort I get is knowing you’re not suffering and you’re in a much better place than we are. Rest in Peace pops!!!! Love you forever.
Daddy you were one of the best things that every happened to me. You showed me unconditional love from the very beginning and I will miss you. Thanks for giving me this part of my family.
