Perry E. Frye II, born to Eugene Perry and Mary Hardy Frye on February 16, 1941, in Monroeville, AL, passed away on April 3, 2026.  

Perry was the last surviving sibling; Polly A. (Lose), Edna E. (Sterling), Doris P. (Odom), Mary Jean (Shaneyfelt) and Henry J Frye.  He is also survived by two half-sisters, Brenda G. Hancock and Evelyn J. Gibson.

He is preceded by John D Frye, Jimmie W Frye and Kathy L (Smith) married to Joy Marie Soutullo (died 2022), with whom he had three children, Perry E Frye III (died 2015), LaDonna D Frye; Priscilla M (Codinach-Phelps), Harper Lee and Adeline M Phelps and Tamala M Frye; Krystal M and Ashleigh M Valdes.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Perry III, Lesleigh (Nurse) – Breanna, Edward and Madeline Nurse and Chase C Frye preceded him in 2022.  

In 1991, he discovered and united with a third daughter, who immediately became family, Michele Gorman, and three grandchildren Rachael (Treis), Teddy and Daisy, Ally (Nelson), Ella, Huck, and Mack and Zach Gorman; Anastasia and Lilia Gorman. Married Felicia Ann Eddins in 1976, expanding his family with five boys, Toby, Carlton, David, Robbie and Todd Logan.  Todd the youngest maintained a close and continued relationship after the passing of his mother in 2007, grandson Christopher Logan and 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Noah.

Perry proudly served in the United States Army National Guard from 1958-1963.  In the 1960’s and 1970’s he was deeply active in his community, coaching youth football at St. Pius X and baseball throughout many local parks, where he mentored and inspired many young athletes.

Perry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and memories.  His heart will forever remain with the family and friends.  The final goodbye is filled with gratitude for every shared moment, every hug, every joke, every story he shared with all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved ones, until they meet again.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12PM, at Belford Catholic Cemetery in Daphne, AL.
