Phyliss Darlene Smock, a native and resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the age of 64.
Phyliss was a graduate of Theodore High School in 1973. She was a waitress and bartender at Longhorn Steakhouse for over 15 years and was a housekeeper at Gulf Breeze Motel on Dauphin Island at the time of her cancer diagnosis. She had one of the biggest hearts and was one of the most caring people you could’ve ever met. She was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved the beach She loved to spend time with her family and friends and always loved to have a good time.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou Clark; her father, A.B. Clark; brother, Ronnie Clark; sister, Kathy Poston and nephew, Shawn Clark.
Phyliss is survived by her husband of 31 years Stuart Smock; children, Kasey Smock of Mobile, AL, Chris Cannon of Mobile, AL and Stephanie Cannon of Natchez, MS; grandchildren, Courtney Shilling, Haley Taylor, Brandt Cannon, Chase Cannon, Aiden Mason, Aubree Mason and Maverick Mason; great-grandchildren, Bradley Shilling and Mason Shilling; brothers, Steve Clark of Theodore, AL and Dale Clark of LaPorte, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
There will be a celebration of Phyliss’ life on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hatcher Farms Venue, 10780 Jeff Hamilton Road in Mobile.
