Robert Bruce Weinstein, a native of New York and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the age of 80.
Robert was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a graduate of New York’s FIT Fashion Institute of Technology and was the owner of Robert Bruce’s Designs in New York City. He later worked as Vice President of Set Designs of Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He will always be remembered as the Chick-fil-A “Ambassador” at the Daphne location.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Florence Weinstein, his brother, Ira Weinstein and uncle, Donny Klatsky.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cathy “CJ” Weinstein; his children, Eric David Weinstein of St. Petersburg, FL and Adam Weinstein (Denise) of New York; two grandchildren, Natalie Weinstein and Resa Weinstein; and his beloved dog, Mattie Jo.
Burial will take place at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Hwy. 225 in Spanish Fort, AL, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11AM.

It was a joy knowing Robert through our church. He always had a smile on his face and twinkle in his eyes everytime I saw him. I’m grateful for his service to our country. I will always remember Robert as a kind, generous and joyful man who will be sorely missed. My most sincere condolences to CJ, Robert’s sons and other family members, as well to those who knew and lived him. Rest in eternal peace sweet man.
