Tribute

Robert Francis Woodward, age 82, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the William F. Green Veterans Nursing Home.

Robert served in the US Marines and the US Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Downing Fiola; his stepfather, Arthur J. Fiola, and his brother, William M. Woodward, Jr.

Robert is survived by his beloved sister, Betty Woodward Willard; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Highway 225, Spanish Fort, AL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/donate.

    Although Bobby was my cousin he was more like a brother to me! I will surely miss him. We had so much fun together. I’m sure he will look up my mother and they will entertain one another! Also, there are other aunts and uncles he may find!

    I will remember his kind and loving spirit. He always extended a smile and hug whenever he greeted me. I know he will be sorely missed by his family.
