Robert Arthur Van Erman, of Mobile, AL, loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the age of 39.
Robert attended Daphne High School and Andrews High School in Andrews, South Carolina. He served in the US Army from 2006 – 2008. Robert was employed at Mobile Bay Harley-Davidson. He loved animals, especially his faithful companion of 14 years, his dog, Diesel. He loved the Smokey Mountains, camping, hiking, fishing, and riding his motorcycle in the mountains. He enjoyed working on the tractor with his grandpa at the land.
Robert is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald G. and Maudie Lou Van Erman of Andalusia, AL.
He is survived by his parents, Arthur H. Van Erman of Mobile and Susan D. and Earl Hassler of Fairhope; grandparents, Robert R. and Rosemary Doggett of Daphne; his faithful companion, his dog, Diesel; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:00AM. There will be a time of visitation before the service at 10:00AM. His ashes will be spread at a later date in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and Gilbertown, Alabama.
