Scott Cameron Miles, a native of Melbourne, Australia and resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2020, at the age of 40. Scott was born in London, England and grew up in Australia before becoming a US Citizen and making his home in Mobile. Scott worked in various roles at Austal USA for 15 years. He took pride in the life he had built in Alabama together with his family, friends and community that had so warmly embraced him. Scott was a selfless and generous husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was resourceful, thoughtful and kind. An incessant dreamer, Scott was always envisioning the next opportunity he could use to serve his Lord or someone in need. Scott loved to cook and smoke food for his family and friends, as well as traveling, aviation, and sky diving. Scott could frequently be found in the back yard with his son, Noah, playing football and sharing his joy for cooking. He is sorely missed.
Scott is survived by his wife, Alexandra “Sandie” (Sintz) Miles, his young son, Noah Miles, and his family of Australia; mother, Angela Katherine (Latus) Miles, father, Kenneth Anthony Miles, sister Nicola Miles Abelseth (and family), Allison Miles, and Lousie Miles Holinka (and family) and additional aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at City Hope Church (Malbis campus) at a future date. Please revisit this website for those details. In lieu of flowers, Scott and family would be honored for donations to be made to City Hope Church’s “Kingdom Builders” fund online at: https://cityhope.cc/
