Shirley loved music of all kinds especially Sweet Adelines .  When she and Dick lived in Midland Michigan she was very involved in chorus and quartet.   She achieved a moment of stardom when she sang with her quartet “The Merri- Mrs.” in Carnegie Hall, New York City.
